Our story started with Georgia Boys BBQ, expanded into Georgia Boys Commercial Services, and eventually grew into Georgia Boys Plumbing Services. Across each business, the common thread is straightforward service, hands-on expertise, and the Southern hospitality behind the Georgia Boys name.
From Georgia Boys BBQ to Georgia Boys Plumbing
Matt Alexander and Nick Reckinger are Georgia natives and University of West Georgia fraternity brothers who moved to Colorado to ski. They started Georgia Boys BBQ by selling sack lunches made from family recipes to Boulder businesses and at local brewery parking lots. In January 2014, they opened the Georgia Boys BBQ Smokehouse in Frederick.
In 2021, Matt and Nick joined Josh Griffin of Macon, Georgia to found Georgia Boys Commercial Services. Plumbing work later began growing through contractor referrals and repeat customers, eventually becoming Georgia Boys Plumbing Services. In 2026, the plumbing business established its Frederick storefront and formalized its presence under the Georgia Boys Plumbing Services name.
