A slow drain can come back again and again if the fix only punches a hole through the blockage. Choosing the right tool matters.
Drain snaking
A cable with a cutting head breaks up a clog at a specific point. It’s a good fit for:
- A single slow sink or tub
- A clog close to the fixture
- Items that went down the drain by mistake
Hydro jetting
High-pressure water scours the full diameter of the pipe, flushing out grease, scale and roots that a snake can leave behind. It’s often the better choice for:
- Repeat clogs in the same line
- Grease buildup in kitchen lines
- Root intrusion found on a camera inspection
How we decide
When a clog keeps coming back, we usually start with a camera inspection so we can see what’s in the line before choosing the method. See our drain cleaning and hydro jetting service.
