When you buy a house, you usually buy the sewer line that runs from the house to the city main too. A general home inspection rarely includes a look inside it.
What a sewer scope is
A plumber feeds a waterproof camera through a cleanout and records the inside of the line. Problems that are invisible from the yard show up clearly on video:
- Roots working into joints
- Cracks or breaks in older pipe
- Bellies, low spots where water and waste sit
- Offsets where sections have shifted
Why timing matters
Finding a problem before closing gives you options: negotiate, ask for a repair, or simply plan for it. Finding it after move-in usually means a backup in the basement.
What you get from us
